Notes on Form and Function

Oct 5, 2025

Fragments, thoughts, and unfinished ideas.

Design is a living tension between form and function. Form gives shape to emotion; function gives purpose to logic. The best work doesn’t choose between them — it merges both into inevitability.

When form feels effortless, function disappears. When function feels intuitive, form becomes invisible. Good design is when the user forgets there was a designer.

Every project starts with fragments — lines, grids, words, empty frames. Over time, these fragments begin to converse, revealing structure through constraint. The process isn’t about invention, but discovery — uncovering what the design always wanted to be.
